SEOUL, March 2 (Yonhap) -- Ssangyong Motor Co., the local unit of Indian auto conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said Wednesday that its February sales rose 10.4 percent on-year thanks to strong sales of its major SUV models, including the Tivoli, at home and abroad.
Ssangyong Motor sold 10,574 units last month, compared with 9,574 units a year earlier, the company said in a press release. The figure does not include complete knockdown kits that are assembled abroad.
Overseas shipments surged 19.6 percent on-year to 3,592 units last month, and domestic sales also grew 6.3 percent to 6,982 units over the cited period.
Ssangyong Motor sold a cumulative 20,656 cars during the January-February period, up 3.8 percent from a year earlier.
