SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) -- SsangYong Motor Co. said Thursday its sales fell 2.1 percent last month from a year earlier due to weak overseas demand for its models.
The carmaker sold 10,205 vehicles in January, down from 10,420 units a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
Domestic sales rose 9.4 percent to 7,675 units last month from 7,015 a year earlier. But exports plunged 26 percent to 2,530 units from 3,405 during the same period, it said.
For all of 2017, the maker of the Rexton and Tivoli SUVs sold a combined 143,685 vehicles, down 7.7 percent from 155,754 a year earlier, the company said.
