SsangYong Motor's April sales fall 1.3 pct on weak sales |

SEOUL, May 2 (Yonhap) -- SsangYong Motor Co. said Wednesday its sales fell 1.3 percent last month from a year earlier due to weak domestic demand for its vehicles.
SsangYong Motor sold 10,930 vehicles in April, down from 11,071 units a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
Domestic sales dropped 2.7 percent to 8,124 units last month from 8,346 a year earlier. But exports rose 3.0 percent to 2,806 units from 2,725 during the same period, it said.
In the January-April period, the maker of the Rexton and Tivoli sport utility vehicles sold a combined 41,594 vehicles, down 8.2 percent from 45,299 a year earlier, the company said.
Indian carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. owns a 72.85 percent stake in SsangYong Motor.
