SsangYong Motor's June sales fall 0.9 pct on weak local sales |

SEOUL, July 2 (Yonhap) -- SsangYong Motor Co. said Monday its sales fell 0.9 percent last month from a year earlier due to weak domestic sales.
SsangYong Motor sold 12,578 vehicles in June, down from 12,697 units a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
Domestic sales fell 8.1 percent to 9,684 units last month from 10,535 a year earlier. But exports rose 34 percent to 2,894 units from 2,162 during the same period, it said.
In the January-June period, the maker of the flagship G4 Rexton and Tivoli sport utility vehicles sold a combined 66,948 vehicles, down 4.8 percent from 70,345 a year earlier, the company said.
Indian carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. owns a 72.85 percent stake in SsangYong Motor.
