SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Yonhap) -- SsangYong Motor Co. said Sunday that it launched the 2019 Tivoli small crossover that offers more amenities and greater customization. 

The South Korean unit of Indian SUV maker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said it introduced Orange Pop and Silky White Pearl to its exterior color scheme, along with new 16-inch alloy wheels, various chrome moldings and door fixtures to give the car a new feel. These options allow buyers to customize their vehicles to their liking that can appeal to younger customers. 

It said the new Tivoli, in addition, comes with a smart closing door mechanism, which automatically locks the car if the driver with a key fob moves away from his or her vehicle. The new model has a new shift lever and hill descent control that expands upon the already excellent safety and convenience features of the popular SUV. 

SsangYong said with the new features the new Tivoli will be able to attract buyers to its showroom going forward. 

The updated cars with a petro engine has a starting price of 16.2 million won (US$14,500), with the top-of-the-line diesel costing 24.8 million won, the carmaker said.
