Since the beginning of this year dealers of Korean cars SsangYong have sold about 1200 Rexton

offroaders assembled at Midget Cars Plant OJSC (ZMA, Naberezhnye Chelny), according to

Badim Shvetsov, Severstal-Avto's General Director.

The offroader SsangYong Rexton became the Russian market leader on the sales rate in 1Q 2006 - its realization

grew by 300% as compared to the same period of 2005. In total there are 45 companies- SsangYong dealers

in Russia, three of them operate on the territory of Tatarstan. Severstal-Avto plans to sell around 4 thousand

of this offroaders in 2006. The serial production of Rexton at ZMA was started up on December 22, 2005.
