According to the survey result of Consumer NZ, SsangYong is ranked at top 5 most satisfied car makers in New Zealand. Consumer NZ, a reputable organization in New Zealand, recently carried out a survey of thousands of drivers to rate vehicle reliability and if they'd buy the same car again.

93 percent (%) of SsangYong car owners answered ‘satisfied of very satisfied’ with their car. Also, 87 percent (%) of the people surveyed said that they would buy their SsangYong vehicles again. The result of survey has been reported in the New Zealand Herald on October 11, 2014.

SsangYong New Zealand has been the official SsangYong distributor of SsangYong in New Zealand since 2010 and sales of SsangYong vehicles have been increased by over 60% 3 years in a row. SsangYong New Zealand recently launched SsangYong Acyton Racing (SAR), which is one maker racing - all the vehicles will be exactly same spec, no variations, so it comes down to driver ability. It consists of 7 rounds at different cities across New Zealand and will be held for 3 years.
